Pioneer DVR-104 lost ten min's of the end of topgun. first film i did no prob' it ripped at 3.68gig.topgun ripped at 4.3gig so re encode needed.
ripping with smartripper
encoding with rempeg2v152
authoring with a dvd authering software
everthing played fine but it lost last ten min's
any help

What media are you using to burn to?
Datasafe and White Label DVD's have a capacity of about 4.49gb so you should be able to fit Top Gun on it without recoding it.

using dvdr silvers unbranded 4.7 gig, write up on it said it wont use them at 2X only default to 1X but ive had no prob. its down to 125min films fine ok, but so as i get to ripping a film at 149mins them smartripper leaves of the last 30mins. its got to be the settings for that film size cos the rip plays fine just 30mins short
