NTSC TO PAL PROBLEM

i got a iso file of the game which i found out was in ntsc format. the game is tekken 5 and when i converted it to pal the games start up screen NAMCO comes in colour but then goes off. there are no modes to be enabled for this game and it doesnt work. do i need to use a program after formatting it to make the game work.
