Platinum 3.2.1 addressed these problems:
Issues with over compression using certain movies and hardware configurations have been resolved
Reading has been improved eliminating most read error problems
Lotsa folks on the 321Studios Platinum forums are having write problems.
My advise is DVD Shrik or DVD Decrypter and Nero 6 to burn...you'll never go back to dvdxcopy.
NEC-2500A - Sony DVD-ROM
WinXP Pro w/ SP2, DVD Shrink - DVD Decrypter - Nero 7.x - CloneDVD2 & AnyDVD - DVD Fab - RipIt4Me

It is out!! i bought one from amazon in the states and had it sent to me here in the uk.Its a NTSC disc so i had to change my dvd region on my dvd rom, used dvd decrypter/dvd2one/nero and voila! ...a nearly perfect back up.apart from a bit of ghosting around anything orange and blue that swims ,and a strange kind of 'hash stripy' interferance on anything thats colourful and small its not too bad.just wondering if this is cos it was NTSC? any ideas please!!!

RGW your are right but you left out CloneDVD and anydvd. Those two you would never have any problems. I personally use shrink and then burn with CloneDVD but you can use Nero or copy2dvd or any burning engine to burn the built movie file. But shrink is the best to build the movie. Good Luck.

NTSC & PAL are nothing to do with region
You had to change your region cos the DVD was R1 instead of R2.

Seeing as you have an original to work from , you might want to try Movie-Only rip /compression perhaps , if that wasnt the method used in DVD2One previously (?)

Hi herbsman, thanks for clearing that one up.I did rip movie only at 100% hence thats why i thought the NTSC format made a differance. Its the only problem ive ever had quality wise.Spose i could try shrink!!

I'm having a problem burning side 2 using DVD X-copy and Finding Nemo. I'v backup many DVD's and I'v never had this problem. I sent an email to 321 studio's and they said it sounds like a "TDF" issue. So I followed the instructins and down loaded the "Finding Nemo TDF" file. The instructions say to "double click" on the file. Problem is when I do that it comes up with a "don't know that file" error. So now what?
