Okay, so I have a 200GB Maxtor HDD, and it used to be in a modded Xbox that I had! Don't worry about the Xbox, it's basically done! Anyways, I want to know if there is a way that I can hook up the HDD to a TV so that I can watch all the movies that was stored on it?! Is there like a program that you can put on the HDD, so it can boot to play movies on the TV!? Thanks!

Your best bet would be to put it in your PC or hook it up to a laptop via USB HDD enclosure. Then you run your PC on the TV.

As for hooking it directly to a TV? Not possible.

I know that they are making DVD players with USB's on them, so you can play pictures, music and movies from a flash drive. This might work with an external hard drive.

Also they do make an enclosure that you can hook up to the TV:
