i have quad dual core system and it came with nivida 8500gt 256mb card is this good enough for blurau playback and rip for the future hd dvd playback and rip for the future

or do i need more juicy ones than what i have

Yeah. That system's fine for BluRay playback and probably HDDVD too.

Just make sure you have an HDDVD drive and a Bluray drive to play them.
