Nero 8 - BCA causes burn fail

Hello, all. I wonder if any of the more experienced participants in the forum here ran into this kind of issue before. It appears that certain kinds of Burst Cutting Area scribble - or lack thereof - cause Nero 8 to abandon writing to the disk. The RICOH disks that it happens with are ok to write on with Vista/XP as well as Nero 6 that I have on the other machine.
Could someone look at the log and tell me what the issue is and if there is a workaround ? Many thanks:
