Problem backing up House Season1, Disk 2

I have a relatively new PC and backed up some of our DVD's last weekend. No problem except for this one disk. Cleaned it thoroughly, no apparent scratches.

Error message is:
Creation of DVD files was not sucessfull!
Scheduler 0D:\Video_TS/VTS_01_1. VOB:2147681033:read TCSector Reader TCE

Running XP Pro + SP2
Liteon LH-20A1S
Clone DVD2
DVD43
I am in Australia - DVD burner shows it is set to region 4

As I say, I've used CloneDVD + DVD43 successfully many times and no problems with any other disk in the series.

All assistance much appreciated.

Hi maroon
It might also be a read error - something on the disc the drive doesn't like that you may not be able to see.

Try ripping it w/ DVDFab HD Decrypter then open those files in Clone.
DVDFab and DVD43 don't always play well so I would try turning off DVD43 1st - if a no go then uninstall DVD43.

Downloaded and tried DVD Fab etc. Same result. Gets to 27% rip, then tells me there are errors and when I ignore them it just freezes.

Also tried 1 Click with same result.

Any other ideas?

Looks like you may have a bad press. If you have another drive that you can rip from - try that one - some are better at ripping the bad spots than others.
If not your best bet would be to exchange it for a new one.

I tried burning on another PC today with CloneDVD and AnyDVD.

Same result -so I guess I have a disk that can't be backed up!

Yeah definitely sounds like a bad press - best bet exchange the series for a new to get this one backed up.
