Hello everyone, heres the deal, i am wanting to put linux on my ds and play homebrew and those kinds of fun stuff, what is my best choice in carts for this(M3 R4 etc)?

My pick would be the R4, one of the cheapest and excellent compatibility. You'll also need a MicroSD card, I'd recommend the Japan made 2GB Kingston.

i have a left-over 512 mb trans falsh card, will that also work with the R4? is it enough space or no?

yea a 512mb flash card would work, id recommend it since you already have a left over one lying around somewhere instead of buying a new one.

There's a sticky for the M3 Simply, the R4 and Simply are identical, read that.
But do note: the Simply to R4 hardware mod doesn't work on the newer models.

No, the biggest game currently is about 235MB, the average is around 65MB a game. I'd recommend getting a bigger card, but the small card will work.

i also have a one gb one on my phone and its not nearlu half way full so i can switch them out, thnx again :D
