I bought a Panasonic vdr- m50 off ebay and the camerera woks fine, but I got no software with it ... I am using xp, I cant find a driver for the camers, I have found windows 2000 , me and 98 as well as a driver hat said it was universal but none of them work .... Can any one give me a suggestion .. Thanks

You shouldn't need a driver for XP.

You need to transfer with the USB. I did find a driver for you.

I am trying to transfer via usb.. Can I find out where you found the driver . Thanks For everyones help ..I did find one , but it only sees the camcorder as a drive and with winows movie maker ( for example) It says the device is not connected???

WIndows Movie Maker is for firewire.

Your camcorder records directly to DVD.
When you connect ueing USB, the camcorder will show up as an external drive. Then you can simply copy the files (.vob) to your hard drive in your PC.
But after that is where your problem begins: edting your movie. You cannot just import the footage into moviemaker. An option is to convert it to DV-AVI using this tutorial:

Then you can import into Moviemaker.
