Hey Guys. I've searched around the forum but i cannot seem to find the solution to my problem. I have a LiteOn LH-20A1P DVD Writer, only had it about 3 months. I recently bought a batch of Verbatim DVD+R discs. Using IMGBURN the disc information loads up but when i try to burn the info it dosen't get past the "writing lead in" stage. It re-tries up to 20 times then i get an I/O error, Calibration Failure with other numbers. I have also noticed my DVD-RAM Drive changes to a CD Drive under My Computer. I have updated the firmware but still no luck.

Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have an error log?
One from Nero would be best.

You sure you have the right firmware? It should be KLON. I have the same DVDRW and use this firmware with no problems.
This drive needs the newer firmware to work good. When I got it this year it had old firmware that was buggy. Some other members here had problems with old fw; This new one cleared everything up.
