Have a Zyxel NBG334w wired and wireless cable router that is not giving the pc's internet connection. The service comes in via a cable that goes into a cable box and then an ethernet cable comes out of that and should be plugged into the WAN port on the Zyxel cable router, this has all been done as normal and as detailed in the instructions yet internet is not reaching the pc's.
If I plug the ethernet cable that comes out of the cable box straight into a pc it does get internet connection, so the service is definitely working fine. Both the cable box and the router have been reset yet still not working.
I can connect to the router (default gateway) and enter it's config pages from both pc's both wired and wirelessly and both pc's are getting what looks like normal IP addresses and subnet mask, gateway, dns, etc via dhcp.
So I know that the pc's can connect to the router fine and that the internet is working since when I remove the cable router and plug the ethernet wire from the cable box straight into a pc it works, so it is a problem getting the Zyxel router to pick up and give out the internet connection that should be coming in through it's WAN port. In the routers config the WAN settings are "automatically get from ISP", and the IP, dns etc is 0.0.0.0. The ISP say this should just work. Have tried with 2 seperate routers of the same model, the orange light that I guess indicates a successful connection to the internet on the Zyxel stays flashing (picture of a globe, wan light I guess).
