Can't Get 2 The DVD Root Menu

I burned Reign Over Me using DVDFab HD, DVD Shrink and ImageBurn. The copy seems to be fine except that when the copy DVD is played on my Akai TV which has a built in DVD player, it has subtitles, as do all movies I play whether original or copy. I usually go into the DVD Root Menu to turn off subtitles, but this one won't allow me to get to the root menu. I get the circle with the slash thru it. Is there a tweak in one of the softwares that I missed?
