Am trying to back up Eternal Sonata via img burn... Have the image on my h/d but imgburn tells me the file is not supported.. Clone CD just gives me a unreadable disc... Ideas anyone? I have manualy set the layer break and book type... Ideas? tia

--Same thing. I have BENQ drive, and am making a back-up for NME2 chip. Every other game in the world works as backup with the exception of Eternal Sonata. The screen goes white, BANDAI games logo appears -- and then the system freezes.

I've tried ripping it several different times, and have made a dozen coasters --- then is something funny about this game...

Hey, I got the same thing. It freezes after the BANDAI logo disappears with a white screen.
I've checked the ISO file by using "Xbox Backup Creator" programme and It's fine.
There's something stranged is that I've successfully boot the game one time and played it as normal. However, I've tried hundreds times later and never success.
Does anyone burn successfully?

thats a real bitch... has anyone trried dling it? Im pretty sure its legal if you have the original.

Got mine working today....

1. Connect to XBOX LIVE -- free Silver member
2. put the disc in
3. Click Yes, when it said to update
4. wait a few minutes
5. Reboot then play normal

That's exactly it. I made like 6 copies and they all frose.
-- I connected to LIVE and put in the orginal ~ updated ~ and my copies worked!

I just wish I would have thought of that before I wasted all those discs.
