Ok, here's the thing. I am not installing any new programs. Can I get this to work. Here's what I have. An .avi in hd quality, at about 850 mb's, and I want to burn it to a dvd style. I have convertx v. 2.2.3.258 and that didn't work. I have nero v. 6.6.0.18, because of the chick who demands that you have that, unless nowadays I can use my license to upgrade. I have used virtual dub, but only to chop an .avi in half. So, nero no go, vso no go, where do I go from here?
Also from the information given your problem really isn't that clear other than you can't get the programs that you have to create a playable disc. What brand media are you using? Can you even get to the burning phase of the process? What exactly is the problem dude? Does the avi play properly before you try and encode it? Does the new file play properly before you try and burn it?
It's just frustrating learning and using a new program every few months to get things to burn properly. Yes, my media has burned everything I can throw at it, and so can my burner.

I guess having a few too many beers can actually impair your judgment. Who would have guessed?
Anyways, what I meant to say or type for that matter is, I don't want to have to have to learn how to use a new program. From going to DVD Shrink, anydvd, clonedvd, nero, convertx, and others just to get movies to play good and right gets a little annoying.
I am assuming you are saying this program can burn an hd .avi to a playable dvd, and from what it looks like from what I checked out on it could replace nero and convertx.
I'll check it out, and I appreciate the help, even if I came off a little abrupt.
One question, if you don't mind. Could this program take the place of the afore mentioned?
I pesonally use ConvertXtoDVD for my conversion projects, but have used DVD Flick on many occasions and find it fits the bill quite nicely. Nero, however, is a suite of programs actually that serves many purposes other than just encoding avi's. While I've used Nero for years and still do every now and then I find myself using it less and less while turning to the freeware alternatives that do just as good a job or better and are a little less bloated.
