My dad sticks to the idea of replacing my computer.

Actually thats a pretty nice rig. I think they could do better with the graphic cards though, as 8500s arent very powerful, even in sli. I would see if you could get a 8800gts in there, as is will probably cost about the same as the two 8500s, but perform way better. Dont know what kind of PSU it has as well. It could have a cheap power supply that came with the case and will break in a year, after the warranty is over and take other components with it (as they usually do).

yea, but it could be a cheap 500 watt PSU opposed to a 500 watt PSU from thermaltake or corsair, ect.

What are you talking about?!?

Anyways, I agree with wabashman, it could be just a cheap PSU, unlike an OCZ, Antec, Corsair etc. If the PSU breaks, it could send a surge of electricity through your system and kill all the components in the computer.

The PSU might be an NZXT Precise unit, they're supposed to be pretty good, but I've no first hand experience with them. I've heard of a few nasty things about ibuypower PCs anyway. The CPU is good, the motherboard (although being the one I have) is by no means the best one out there, and the graphics cards are rubbish. Yes there's two of them, but for games that don't work with SLi, they'll be really slow.
Do it yourself, or go somewhere where you can spec the whole thing up properly.

Actually I think the opposite. I thin it's a mediocre system, but it's priced well.

Well, if it's mediocre, then would you kindly help me find a good gaming prebuilt rig that costs around 1k-1.4k?

I've already really given my advice, it's best to find somewhere that will build the PC for you, but allows you to choose which parts you want.

I agree. The best pc is one that you build by yourself, not one that you buy from a company for an extra $1000 more.

You don't necessarily have to build it yourself. When I first got my current PC it had been built for me. I just specified it part by part to make sure what I got was good. I'd build it myself now, but back then I had to satisfy my parents I'd be getting something reliable. I'm not sure they trusted my building skills back then...

While falcon systems are supposed to be very well built, what's with the options? They don't let you choose CPU, RAM, Motherboard or Graphics card...

I tried customizing a Talon, but i got 3k. Why the hell do i need an E6750? an E6550 is fine.

(BTW, to get more customizing options, you need to go to 'configure your PC' from the pc's page)

Also, there are some pretty nice laptops there.

To put it simply, the E6750 is faster. My overclocked E4300 is faster still, but hey.

I know that an E6750 is faster, but i am satisfied with the E6550. Even that processor is unbeliveably fast. (At least for me, somebody who is used to slow laptops xD)
