I have been researching this on the net forever it seems and I can't find a match.

I use DVD Shrink and Nero 7 to make compilations with menu of TV shows from DVDs. Occasionally I end up with no soundtrack, or a background soundtrack but no dialogue, or the Director's commentary overriding the regular soundtrack.

I check in the DVD Shrink player or another player (like Media Player or PowerDVD) and the same files work 100%. This is pre-burn to disk, by the way (though it also ends up that way on a burned disk).

This problem does not occur all the time. Just oddball times and with different disks/files.

This is not the out-of-sync problem I've seen here multiple times, it just seems like Nero 7 selects a random soundtrack and goes from there.

I've tried poking around Nero to find a "Select Soundtrack" or some such command, but the only things I've seen are ghosted out.

This happens with both Nero Vision 4.9.7.2 (I think that is right) and in Nero Recode 2.

The overall version of Nero is the Ultra Enhanced, about 2 months old max, updated yesterday to no avail. I am using XP, DVD43 and I installed the K-Lite codec pack. Those are the only programs I can think of that might have an impact here.

Anyone had this problem before?
