Hello everybody,
I'm trying to put subtitles in my avi file and burning that to a DVD using avi2dvd. But when I put the DVD in my DVDplayer, I can't see any subs.
The subtitles and the movie have the same name, and I put them in the same folder.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks a lot,

Anna

If you play the DVD on the PC using your media player (I use VLC) can you select subtitles from the menu?

No, when I click on the subtitles button, nothing happens. And when I click on any other button, the movie starts without subs...

This is from an AVI2DVD log file that is included with the output.
It shows that it found and created the subs.
Does yours have a similar entry?

Beats me.
Download DVDSubEdit, load the VOB file that was created by Avi2Dvd and look for the subtitles.
If they are missing, try reinstalling AVI2DVD.

Hey thanks a lot, you're a greeat help!!
But I just found out that when I push the subtitles button on my remote control, the subtitles do work! ( I should've done that much earlier)
So I guess the problem is the menu. Both subtitle buttons don't work (the "no subtitles' button doesn't work either) But that is a less bigger problem:) Very weird though...

It was always in my mind that it might be operator error, but hesitant to suggest.
I should note that my media player (VLC) does not offer the subtitle option on the menu until after dialog begins.
Also I have three remotes, none of whom agree on how to select subtitles.
