and on a curiouser note why would you want one ????????? it would be likely more expensive than DVD-R DL & or DVD+R DL media and more prone to scratches and disc errors than DVD-R DL & or DVD+R DL media or even SL media in either format for that matter !!! If your going for quality & long term viability & durability I would suggest DVD-R DL & or DVD+R DL or even DVD-R or DVD+R media SL! erasable media in my experience just does'nt hold up as well as the permanent ( Burn Once ) kind but if you can find it and you wanna pay the piper ( High Price) then I wish you luck !!!Ciao!!!!!!!!

Yes. This question was asked once before and the full answer was:
JVC has introduced DVD-RW DL media. These new inverse stack media can be recorded at 2X. That's it for the good news. The bad news: you will need a new drive in order to record or even play this new medium. Not one of the 1.1 billion players made will be able to read this disc because it uses a new file system in which, for example, a VIDEO_TS files now becomes "DVD_LR," the LR standing for "low reflectivity." Still interested? That would make you the seventh person in the world. The first six are JVC engineers.
