i got a psp slim version 3.60 when i put my daxter game inside and load load and load wait for a few minutes and it say The game could not be started. Then i try another game but that worked and i try a movie that also worked
i try blew on the UMD but it still doesn't work~
Could anyone help me ~

So this problem was runing in my psp to of umd gta vice city stories.Not only umd's some iso's also didn't work but some worked.Umd of nfs carbon,Smack down vs raw 2007 everything worked..
But now i managed to work it..So u can give try of ur problem at recovery mode..So just turn ur psp completly and then go to recovery mode by pressing R trigger while psp just turns on then go to advanced just press X at FORMAT FLASH1 AND RESET SETTINGS..This thing formats flash and restores all the settings.Retype all name date and rest of the things just put the UMD and give them a try..

It worked in mine to by which i was having the same problem..And my psp was psp fat with 3.52 m33-4

i have a 3.03 oe-c with me... and i was tryign to load an ISO for Syphon Filter Logan's Shadow....it is not working and is giving me a numeric error with a message,"the game could not be started". i was wondering if formatting and restoring the flash a good idea and will it help in this case... or do i need to upgrade my firmware to play this thing... what are the chances that you screw your PSP when you format your flash???????? also does it even format the firmware version and restores it to what it originally came with.

Yah u may be right formating flash in recovery mode is the great thing for that i think...But still if the game didn't start.Just upgrade ur psp to 3.52 m33-4.that's really good thing for iso's and cso's.I was using 3.52 m33-4 for a while and had more than 15 iso's and all were suppose to work on my psp without any problem.but when i was in 3.40 oe-a only few worked even after formatting and restoring the flas0..

So if the problem exists in ur 3.03 oe-c even by restoring ur flas0 better go for 3.52 m33-4 or 3.71 m33-2.the version by which iam using right now .So option is urs If ur looking for latest firmware try 371 m33-2.It's one of the best.or 3.52 m33-4 older one of m33.

good luck..becareful while upgrading ur psp huh..
