seems to have some drm, it rips fine with dvddecryptor but it comes out with scrambled portions.

More info Jackfruit. What are "scrambled portions"? Do you have the original DVD to backup? What media are you burning to? what speed are you burning at? Are we talking about DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0 or DVD Decrypter HD

Both rippers are freeware, but decrypter HD is up-dated.
Ripping is the main hurdle...so to speak, but if you burn to inferior media at high speeds then almost nothing will resolve those issues.

think i got it, the newest dvdfab worked on it. its a strange copy protection, usually dvds give errors during rips so iknow if somethings up. this one ripped fine but had scrambled portions every couple seconds during play, likerandom color snow.

I had no troubles with using AnyDVD & CloneDVD2, recent versions, to a Sony DVD+R and the copy came out flawless.
