LG-4040B not showing in Stomp

I have an LG-4040B DVDRAM drive... and I'm trying to burn some .gi files. For some reason recordnow max refuses to "see" the drive even after I've installed new firmware. Is there any other (preferably free) software that can burn .gi files or has anybody else encountered and fixed this problem?
