I am having some trouble with my pandora battery and "magic" card.

I have made the battery and the special files in the memory stick (1 gig, pro-duo, official sony card). When I put the memory card into the psp with the special battery, the green power light turns on (by itself, so I think that means it is in service mode), but the memory stick and wifi light do not turn on. No menu appears and the psp soon turns off.(i'm trying to unbrick a bricked phat psp, which had 3.40 OE before it bricked)

The files I have in the memory card are

PSP ROOT DIRECTORY:
{
-PSP (-GAME (the installer and battery creator))
-registry (-system.dreg (128 kb) -system.ireg (15 kb))
-kd (57 items inside this folder having a total of 1.13 mb)
-UPDATE (the 1.50 update eboot)
-msipl.bin (236 kb)
}

I have tried reformating the card and redoing the process, but when I try to mspformat it, it says "Pseudo format is not necessary.". (does this mean that I only have to mspformat the card once?) When I try to msinst the msipl.bin file, it just says "PSP MS IPL Installer", then says the drive my msinst program thing is and then says "driveletter ipl_block_file" and then ends right there. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Could somebody please help and maybe check their card files and mine match. Some advice would be nice. Thanks.

This can't be happening... Why won't it work. Unbelievable. I'm going to try again.

BTW, I used this thread to help me. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/552549

The program in the thread provides with all the necessary files and even with the ones that need a homebrew capable psp. I followed every step and nothing.

I only have one bricked psp and nobody in my area with a psp that can run homebrew. I hard modded the battery so that it is a pandora's battery. (Yess, I know what you're thinking. How could such an idiot who carelessly bricked his psp be able to hard mod anything?)

Could maybe you or somebody else try using that program with only a pc and no psp and see if it works.

**********EDIT***EDIT***EDIT*************

NEVER MIND!!!

IT WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!! I JUST HAD TO USE a sandisk card, although I don't know why.

And for the Pandora battery creation, i have got a brand new fat battery to use, but after follwing all the steps when i plug it in my slim it just shows me the green power light nothing else happen, dont see any menu nothing.

I am having the same problems as others here?
I have a FAT PSP with 3.71 M33-4 with 1.5 add on.
I've made the Magic memory card and pandoras battery but when i put them in the SLIM PSP I am trying to mod I get the power light on and nothing else.
Have tried 3 different installers and 2 different memory cards with the same results every time.
The PSP is not bricked as I have been able to restore it with the power lead.
I've read other posts where people have had to try different memory cards before getting the process to work?
Is this the case as I've already tried 2???????
