Need info on burning PS2 backups

Bassically I need to know how to burn PS2 backup CDs to use them on SwapMagic 3.6. I burned Crazy Taxi, but when I play it, models load too slow and the disc spins like crazy. That time I burned it on 4x speed, should I burn it on higher speeds?
