I'm tight on money but I will need a power supply. Can someone point me to some affordable ones?

Something like this
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...=corsair%2b520w
For a graphics card that powerful I wouldn't settle for anything less.

I have ran a X1950XTX with much less power. You can probably settle with something smaller. But if you are going to buy that power supply (which is very good by the way.) buy it from here:

It's not really the amount of watts that's most important, it's the brand.

brand, efficiency, and AMPs.

i would not settle, even for the lowliest of PCs, for anything less than the corsair VX 450

Agreed. Although for a proper PC I'd go for the HX 520W, it just seems like a better design to me.

i'll rather buy a 650W incase you're SLIing or overclocking your CPU...more watts is better than not enough...

my only problem with the PSU's is this. yes finding the proper wattage and brand is easy. Getting a PSU with the recommended voltage to amps is difficult. Although an 8800 can run without the getting the proper amps i wouldnt recommend it mainly becuase its such a beafy card.

The HX is better than the VX, I'd always go with that, but food for thought. My PC on full load pulls 250W from the mains, so uses perhaps 200-210W at DC. Hardly seems a lot does it?

a VX450 will run any non SLI xfire, system fine, even with a C2Q, but allas, i think OCing might take it overboard.
