I have a ps2, one of the old fat ones, and I want to be able to play games from NES, SNES, etc. I have the emulators and the roms, but I'm not sure how to get my ps2 to play them. I've read about Swap magic, but you need to buy it in stores or it won't boot and modchips cost money. Unfortunately I don't have ANY money to spare (thanks to school, rent, and other bills) so I'm not sure what to do. Any suggestions?

I don't have one of these, so I couldn't tell you. I have the memory card exploit. Do you have an old PS1 game lying around the house somewhere by any chance?

Yes I do, I have the old PS1 and I might have one of the memory cards with it.

You'll still need three things however: a USB flash drive, HDD and Playstation 2 Action Replay Max. Although I think the AR MAX alone together with a USB flash drive are sufficient enough to play games such as NES and SNES. It's hard to rally round if you're looking at the most frugal means possible. Anway, where I was going with memory card exploit is for you to be able to copy games onto a compatible hard drive for the PS2. But this is pointless, since you're penniless at the moment.
