Hello, I have a PC that starts windows about 50-75% now. I turn my PC on, and sometimes at the windows logo, it's not in full contrast and my PC freezes there. I press reboot button and it gives me a message that windows didn't start properly last time and you have options "safe mode, last good mode etc." And then windows starts up normally. This I think started happening when I bought APC UPS. It's like a long white mini tower that serves as a surge protector or a baterry back-up. When I turn on the UPS, and immediatelly turn on my PC, my PC waits for about 3 seconds and then turns on. Is that because I have 520W PSU or the UPS is a bit too slow at sending electricity? I tried turning my PC on after 1 since UPS was on, so my PC started up immediately, however, sometimes I still ran into the freezing not-in-full-contrast- windows logo. So it's not because of a power failure. Any help? Thanks in advance.

I always keep my UPS on at all times (I have never turned it off since I bought it last year). If I where you just leave it on all the time, so it can always be charged up. Does this only occur when using the UPS? Try running your computer just plugged in to the wall (no UPS) see if that fixes it. But what you describe with the moniter (contrast) sounds like the UPS is not giving your monitor enough juice. The size of your power supply is no problem (it only comsumes 520 watts if your computer requires that amount, if your computer only uses 300 watts thats what it will put out ,but it has capability to go up to 520 without shutting down).

Thanks for the reply.
Not enough juice for the monitor? I don't really think so, I mean the hard-drive stops working as well (the light is off and it's silent) I suppose it would still be loading if the monitor is off. Could it be because of a faulty hardware or something?
