OK so i used DVD Decryter to rip the DVD. This is my first time trying this.. now i have a bunch of VOB, IFO, and BUP files.. What software do i need now (preferably a free one) to convert these files to a single file that is way smaller than all of the files i currently have (should these files be converted to say wmv or mpeg?.. i am going to be putting the video files on a portable media device.. THANKS!

I don't know what format the portable device wants to see, but one way is to cut down the size of the movie then convert it to AVI.

Open the ripped file folder into DVD Shrink:
Click 'Re author' and drag 'Title 1' from right to left panel.
Click 'Backup' and save to a new folder;only the movie (no menu) will be shrunk and backed up.

Then load the new folder into AutoGK and convert the movie to DivX.
(Load VTS_01_0.IFO and select a predefined size or 'Custom' and 700MB

Thanks, im going to be putting the finished finals on a Creative Zen.. I believe that it does play DivX files.. is there another type of file that you would recommend if i cannot use that one? or is DivX by far the best?

AutoGK also offers XviD with DivX but you might be better to do a search for a 'Creative Zen Forum' to see if there is anything the community has to offer by way of advice, then go from there.
