nero 7 ultra freezing problem

I have Nero 7 ultra, i am burning photo slide shows set to music on dvd.
When watching the slide show on DVD player the slide show and the music freeze and start again periodically. Sometimes they will freeze and not restart and i have to hit the ff button on my remote to get it going again. Have tried different media, different music files. Have even tried installing the software on a different computer with a different drive and it does the same thing.

Any ideas out there?

What media have you tried?
Post a Nero log if you do not know the media codes for the media.
Nero 7 log location: Program Files>Nero>Nero 7>Core>NeroHistory.txt

I am using Sony dvd-r 1x16x speed

When i go to burn the disc the default speed is set on 'max' and this is what i used. should i try another speed? the options go from 8x(11080 kbs) to 1x (1385 kbs). i,m not sure which speed i should be using....
