Ok I have a Matshita BD-MLT SW-5582 burner and I usually pay the DVDs on my BOSE 3-2-1 System. I currently use Memorex 16x DVD-R and burn them at 4x and usually no problems,it works perfect on 95% percent of dvd players, including in my car, ps2 and xbox.
I want to try Taiyo Yuden DVD-R, does anyone know if I will have issues playing Taiyo Yuden on most dvd players? Any known compatibility issues?
Any real big difference between value line and Premium Line? What is the difference and is it actually worth spending more for the premium line?
Also What is the best website to purchase taiyo yuden dvds for the best price and authentic?
I would think you should do okay with The taiyo Yudens I bought About 600of the Value line 2 years ago and like them just fine !! Using them mainly to back up my video Collection and occasionally for data ! My understanding of the difference between The Premium Line versus the Value line is basically two things 1. The premium line Taiyo Yudens come in Cakebox Spindles like the Memorex or other brands you buy at the store! 2. The premium Taiyo Yudens Measure better technically by a tiny bit on an machine that they use at the Taiyo Yuden plant that none of us would likely be able to afford ! The Value-line Taiyo Yudens come in Tape /Shrink Wrap spindles like Some Ritek media does no cakeboxes ! so save your empties there 1000Plus It's recycling at it's best !!! My advice If your getting them for private use either would serve you well ! if your going to distibute the finished disc ( Video's of your Band ) wedding video's ect !!I might lean towards The premium Line at leat to start - Best advice buy a few of each and try them out to see which you and your machines like best ! That's a copout I know but That's the best way to decide anyway! Additionally you might also want to check Doc TY 's ( kivory666)post as he got that nickname for a reason ! If there is something about taiyo Yuden he does'nt know then Taiyo Yuden themselves probably don't know it either !
