PLEASE HELP ME! LG GSA-4040B Burner!

I am going crazy.

I have the latest firmware for the LG 4040B and I have the newest ASPI layer also.

In device manager everything is fine. But no matter what program I use nothing will burn.

Nero just says "WAITING FOR DRIVE TO BECOME READY"
CopyToDVD says "Can't connect to hardware access layer (Patin_Couffin or ASPI)"
DVD Decrypter says "Device Not ready, cause not reportable"

I was burning DVD's fine with all these programs for like a week, and nothing has changed, and now nothing will work! I feel like crying, I can never get it working right, i have spent all day trying to figure it out with no luck! PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME!

If using WinXP , goto 'system restore' & go back a week if everything was working okay then !: )-
