hi there troops im thinking of upgradeing my ram iv got 1gb ddr 400
and want to upgrade to 2gb ddr but for the same price almost i could have 4gb ddr 2 ram any advice?

4gigs, but make sure your motherboard can support ddr2.

if motherboard doesn't have ddr2 slots then can't use ddr2 ram as they are different from ddr. usually boards with both ddr & ddr2 slots can only goto 2gigs each only not combined for 4 gigs.

Something also, that I suggest, if you are able to upgrade to ddr2, don't use 2gb sticks, its smarter to just use 1gb sticks, others may say different, but with every computer I have used, and any I have ever worked on, they seem to run smother while using 1gb sticks.
