My third post in as many hours.

Acting on the assumption that nobody will have an answer for my other two posts I have begun scanning the hard copy photos of the images I scanned from my slides. What I would like to know is:

What is the ideal maximum resolution for slide show images so that they do not strobe when shown (via DVD)on a TV screen? For my last attempt I made them all 72dpi.

What are the ideal dimensions for an image in a slide show project so that the tops/bottoms are not cut off (vertical images)or the sides (horizontal?)
