I've posted this query previously but got no replies so I thought that I'd ask you directly.

I've noticed that you seem to be a big DVDfab HD Decrypter + Imgburn proponent.

I've started to use DVDfab HD Decrypter and I've been using Imgburn for a while now. I've had this issue come up several times and hopefully you can help me.

I back-up my movies almost exclusively to DL discs (Verbatim 2.4x).

DVDfab HD Decrypter does not create a MDS file, which should be no problem since Imgburn can calculate the Layer Break.

The issue that I've had is I rip with DVDfab HD Decrypter (full disc) to a ISO file and when I try click start in Imgburn it pops up with "this file is not compatible with burn to a DL, do you want to continue anyway?".

Most of the time when I click start, the "layer break" window pops up and I choose a break location and it burns successfully.

Since DVDfab HD Decrypter doesn't create an MDS file should I have the option to "Remove Layer Break" checked?

Thanks for your help

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that if you use Imgburn in BUILD Mode. Imgburn can create an mds file.

As suggested, I would rip in DVDFab's default mode which will give you a VIDEO_TS folder, then open Imgburn in build mode and carry on using this guide:

I wouldn't take the extra step of creating an ISO with DVDFab as Imgburn can convert the file just as easy and since it is the one burning it's own files I would trust it more.
