This forum offers alot of good info, so I decided to join. Here is the problem I have been facing.
Bought Ner0 7 w/ Vision 3. I can copy DVDs fine, they come out perfect.
Transcoding has been a constant struggle w/ Nero. If I import a home video or something I recorded off the TV, fast-action (someone jumping across the screen, whatever) makes white horizontal lines on my laptop. After buring, watching the DVD on regualar TV (not Hi-Def) gives almost the same result (a little less pronounced because my laptop is 1280 X 800, TV res. much less).
Using SmartEncode when I burn makes it worse. Now the DVD comes out like everything is going in Slow Motion. I try burning @ 8x, 4x, 2x, some result. Can't be the DVD-burner.
I have all the obvious stuff out of mind (no Viruses, only app running @ time of burn is NeroVision, 1.8 GHz cpu, 512MB ram, plenty of HDD space).
Has anyone else had this problem? What did you do to remedy it (or find a workaround)?

P.S. I've gotten pretty good at video editing in Nero. If anyone needs any advice/tutoring, or if you can suggest a product w/ more video effect and text effects, Email/Post.
