Lately I have been burning picture slideshow movies in 704 x 576 (also movies from dv-camera. My standalone dvd-player does not support SVCD, but it plays PAL 704 x 576, even system mpg-1. It plays it well too, very sharp, almost dvd, except for the color brightness.
The only problem is to get the full picture on the TV-screen, since the side edges are cut of a little. To fix this I paste my pictures in black frames of size 704 x 576 through Adobe photoshop (automated repeated action), which lowers the resolution of the picture just a little. This way I get the full picture and only the black frame is cut off.
Who tried this too? Any suggestions?
