Im wondering which type of disc is best for making a data disc?
DVD -R,+R,or +RW? or does it not matter? because im planning to buy a optodisc because my previous media was quite horrible for making a data disc.

Type is not important.
Who makes the disc is.
I used one cake box of optodiscs and had good results.
It depends on your writer and firmware.
Most of the time I use Ritek RiData +R R03.
Most here will tell you to buy branded media made in Japan.
Verbatim, Sony, Taiyo Yuden.

Definitely see if there are firmware updates. As a drives life progresses, more and more write strategies are written to further increase the drives compatibility with the various medias that are currently available or will soon be available.

This is not considered a double post.
Asking the same question in two different threads in the same or different Forums is double posting.
Some people are in a hurry and think the more they ask the quicker they will get an answer.
Your other thread is a related but different question.

You should post the log as laddyboy suggested.
