i've been having problems with my pc rebooting. it didn't always happen but lately more than ever. i downloaded spyware doctor to do a free scan and it found a trojan (can't remember the name) but couldn't remove it since i hadn't purchased it. i uninstalled spyware doctor and decided to try different programs but everything was coming up clean (symantic, spybot, and adaware). decided to get spyware doctor and this time it found PSWTool.RAS. the thing is that i don't think it was the same as the first infection. i'm sorry to be rambling so much, its been a long night and i haven't gotten any sleep. can you please review my hijackthis log file and let me know if i have to do anything. thank you for your help and if you need additional information please let me know.

with all the apps you ran i would say you are clean. dont see anything in the hjt log that looks like malware. 2 antimalware apps is plenty to have on your computer. having more dosnt equal better protection. installed any new software lately that might be bogging you down?

thanks for the help. i was just trying out different antivirus programs to see if it would catch anything. i'm debating between between spyware doctor/symantec and ad-aware. i'm leaning for spyware doctor since it caught a couple of viruses and symantic didn't. what would you recommend? thanks for you input. i really do appreciate it.

you only need one antivirus program on your computer. antimalware or spyware-- having two is plenty. they both scan for different threats. what av is best? the one you keep updated. its more than just about av, you must use good judgment, no software can think for you. i see logs that are loaded with anti this and that firewalls etc and still have plenty of malware.
