I've had a Sidekick 2 for the last 2 years. Everything has been find and dandy with it, but yesterday I turned it off when I went to a movie, and went to turn it on, and it wont turn back on! Even if I plug it into the wall to charge, it wont show it as charging. It had a nearly full charge when I turned it off. I'm assuming it is the battery. I called Customer Care and got someone who didnt know what they were doing, and they just kept saying I would need to upgrade phones.
Well, I looked in my manual, and there is nothing about a battery in it. I cant see even where a battery would go...is it an internal battery? I saw online that I could buy a battery for the sidekick 2 for $19.99 online but I wouldnt know how to install it. Does anyone know? Is it even worth it to save my phone, or can it not even be saved?
If all else fails, I was going to get the Sidekick LX, but under features on the Tmobile website, it does not list AIM/MSN under its messaging header. But all the reviews on the phone talk about the AIM working really well. So is it on there? Why doesnt the website list it? I have to have AIM on my phone because my fiance is living in another country right now and its the cheapest way for us to talk a lot.
Also, I tried to upgrade my phone by signing in to my tmobile account, but the only sidekicks that come up to upgrade to are the sidekick ID and the sidekick slide. So can I not upgrade to the sidekick LX?
For anyone who read this and can help, thank you so much! I'm sorry if I sound annoying/stupid, I'm just not good with this sort of thing and I want to make sure I'mn fully informed before spending money, and customer care really is no help!
