Ok, i bought an LG 37LF65 LCD TV 2 weeks ago planning to use it for gaming, finally got my PS3 and HDMI cable. So i've plugged in the HDMI cable and there's no sound.......pictures great but there is zero sound what so ever. Am i missing something here? I thought that the HDMI cable was supposed to deal with the audio and video.
Strange thing is if i put a DVD on through the PS3 and change the picture ratio i get brief bursts of sound. So, sould i just return it to the shop and complain or am i being stupid and missing something?
Quote:The High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) is a licensable audio/video connector interface for transmitting uncompressed, encrypted digital streams. HDMI connects DRM-enforcing digital audio/video sources, such as a set-top box, a Blu-ray Disc player, a Personal Computer, a video game console, or an AV receiver, to a compatible digital audio device and/or video monitor, such as a digital television (DTV).
i don't have ps3 so im going to guess here, go to your settings in the ps3 and make sure its configured for the hdmi, same with the tv,
Try hooking up a cable box or dvd player to your tv and see if they will run
