So I just picked up my iMac today this is my first ever Mac after being a 7 year windows user. So I still don't know all it's functionality.

My question is if there is any software like Peer Guardian 2 for PC that does the same functionality and do I need like tweak and cleaning software for mac?

Hello, GeoStigma:

As far as I know, there is a Mac OS X version of Peer Guardian. However, Leopard compatibility may be an issue.

Applications such as Cocktail, Onyx, Leopard Cache Cleaner and DiskWarrior are handy maintenance applications to have around.

To remove applications, an application such as AppZapper will suffice.
