I recorded my first movie using my tv dvd recorder on a dvd-RW.
It plays OK on it and my PC, but nero or dvd decrypter will not let me
put it on my hard drive. What can I use ?
The movie will play with powerd dvd6
will show info in Nero and isobuster

how can I copy content to hdd ?

why does isobuster say its format is VR_MOVIE.VRO and not .VOB wich is what I was expecting.

its format is VR_MOVIE.VRO
Your sure it's not a DVD-RAM disk?
DVD RAM layout on disk:

DVD_RTAV
....... VR_MANGR.BUP
....... VR_MANGR.IFO
....... VR_MOVIE.VRO

TV DVD recorders have different formats than recorders that are used in computers. So to use Nero or DVDDecrypter is useless.... you will have to convert the DVD to VOB files before you can copy the DVD to work in standard DVD players. this is what I learned here in afterdawn from other members. I don't have a TV DVD recorder so I haven't looked up any programs that will convert your TV DVD recorded disk. but I know it's a different format! sorry.

hi :)

ConvertXtoDVD will do the trick.
place disc in rom
open convertX
select the drive your disc is in...open..highlight the..vts_01_0 to what ever number ie. vts_01_4...then open
then build a dvd
if you should get an error message saying something like "one file cannot be converted" ignore and build dvd anyway
have a blank disc in your burning drive all ready and when the conversion is done it will auto burn using it's own burn engine.
