I have been on a lot of different forums with this same ?. I'm not much for all the technical 'stuff'...isn't there a simple step by step software 'free' which I can put movies like Transformers on my Zen Vision W. I already have downloaded SlySoft - Clone DVD for a 21 day evaluation. There are no intructions, but now I find out (reading another fourm) that I must download another software - to rip the dvd to where? my pc - all this storage space...isn't there a much simplier process?
I'm just looking for a 1 - 2 - 3 tutorial software with good resolution for playback that doesn't take all day/night for 1 movie. Thanks!

...and a free lunch to boot! Good luck on your quest. Suggest you read a little more in the forums and you may find your answer. Those who help themselves are usually rewarded.

gloriah - it pains me to help you as there's endless information/tutorials here, so much so that it's nigh on impossible for people to not stumble trip over the things. But here's a couple links - http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/575200

However questions such as yours often attract shedloads of spammer posts (maybe such as the 2 links i provided, maybe not), we don't catch them all, so for your lack of wanting to search out the info for yourself you can be the guinea pig to see if the software is spam/spyware/good advice or not; seems only fair :)

If you have video file that is not compatiable with vision w, then you can use zvm converter. Simple free program. If you would like to rip dvd movie from disc to compatiable video file to go directly to vision then use xilisoft dvd platinum ripper. Zvm converter is fast and free, but is only for odd ball video files, not dvd rips, unless you want to go through the steps, which you don't. Platinum ripper takes about an hour but oost money. I don't know if theres a way to get around paying for it. I use both and the work great.
