ds lite wont power up

Hello,my ds lite will charge and when I turn it on the green light comes on but both screens dont power up,I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction cause nintendo just wants money and if I could fix it I will,Thanks

well if it turns on, but the two screens dont turn on, that seems like a big problem to me. it could be that the wires aren't connected properly inside, but i have never opened my ds. so im not sure.

hmm, it wouldnt be the wires, i doubt that they both have disconected
at the same time, it sounds much more like the system
