i would get this
http://www.canadacomputers.com/main.php?...cid=999.243.390
it is an 8600gts. it will play most games like hl2 fear quake 4. but i would probably wait a few weeks for the cheaper 8800gt with only 256mb vram. it will be at about 200 and will play almost any game.

Well considering that 256 MB is not really enough anymore, I would say get a 8800GT 512MB version, which should come down to 200USD in few weeks. Of course since now CAD is worth more, it should be even cheaper now.

Oh and Mike, welcome back :)

If you're not into gaming, an 8600GTS should be more than sufficient.
