Ok, my girlfriend just got me a new computer, and it came with windows vista, anyways I was just wondering if there was any good (and free)spyware/malware checker/remover. I've seen a few stuff on the web, but before I download any stuff like that I always come here for the answers. So anyone with any tips, or knows of where I can get some good programs let me know. It'd be greatly appreciated.

assuming youre running xp

installed and updated

AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition (only have one antivirus installed at one time)

install all of these

EMCO Malware Destroyer

SUPERAntiSpyware (Free Edition)

Spyware Terminator

Spybot - Search and Destroy

install Ad-Aware SE

SpywareBlaster

McAfee SiteAdvisor

these are all free and given my two thumbs up

found at http://www.snapfiles.com/
