HP IPAQ HX2495B having some battery issues..

Hey, starting yesterday my PDA has been having some wierd issues with the battery I'm not sure about. All day yesterday the battery showed that it had 100% battery life allll day. Then eventually died at the end of the day like normal, but today when I tried to do some stuff on it. When it hit 94% it completely turned off and won't let me turn it back on. I know its not in battery saving mode it just turns off and wont let me turn it back on. Then after I left it on the charger for a while I used it for maybe 30 minutes which is more than it did this morning, but later that day it died the same way. Is this a sign that my battery is bieng faulty or does my pda have a virus of some kind?? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
