I'm ripping DVDs to put on my ipod but also my computer for viewing. I know that an ipod only needs 320x240, but that kinda sucks on a computer screen. So, my question is what would be a good resolution to set it to so that I can keep my videos small enough to fit on my ipod (1-2 gbs is fine) but still good enough quality to watch on computer and maybe even a tv if I connect my ipod to it?

If anyone else cares, I found this website:

It goes into great detail about ipod resolutions, pretty much saying the best you can do for a 4:3 is 640x480 and best for 16:9 is 640x360. Apparently as long as width is 640 or less and height is 480 or less its fine. Any higher and the movie will load into iTunes but not onto the iPod.
