A few years ago, I ripped my Samhain box set to .wav files, and combined 3 of the albums onto 1 CD. One of those albums was a remastered version. I have since obtained a copy of the vinyl-ripped original mix. What I want to do now is Re-rip the other 2 albums to wav's and add in the original mix. My question is: For quality rips, can I use the burnt CD I made to rip them, or do I need to dig the originals out of storage? If I understand right, .wav is lossless, but does converting .wav to cda during burning reduce quality?

The quality should be the same. The CDR, however, may have more errors although the error correction built into CD audio should be able to handle it.
