R4 not working correctly

i got my r4 around Jan
but when i download my sims/zelda/cooking mama 2 it says please instert game card or power off!!!

Please don't type it all in red it is completely unnecessary.

Make sure your using the latest R4 firmware (v1.11) it can be downloaded from the R4 website: http://www.r4ds.com/download-en.htm

Also I think the games you have listed require the ARM7 fix to work on the R4: http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=57788

My mate has the same problem with some of his games (for his daughter - he's not a big wet girl) - Ben 10, Bratz One & Disney Princess Magic Jewels.

He says these are the USA roms and come up with the error "Cannot read. Please switch off and reinsert cart" - Something like that.

He does have the most recent firmware (v1.11), so what's the problem? Will he need to do this ARM7 thingy?
