Poor color on rips

I've only recently started ripping in order to play my dvds on a portable media player, and I have so far been very unhappy with the color saturation on the rips. I have tried both clonedvd mobile and dvdfab platinum, with both divx and xvid codecs. None of the rips look like the original as far as the color saturation goes. Take a look at the screen captures below to see what I am talking about. Both screen captures were taken with the same player. Any advice would be appreciated.

I was able to improve the color on the PC by changing the ffdshow settings, but am still wondering if there is a better way to tweak the color during the encode process since my PMP doesn't have ffdshow obviously.

I don't think you're talking about Ripping.... I think you're talking about trancoding your movie to a DVD5 to be played in your portable DVD player. The difference here is the trancoding! CloneDVd and DVDFab programs are good. But if you want the best then use DVDRebuilder Pro with CCE or ProCoder!~ DVDRebuilder uses encoders. Transcoding or more specifically Compressed-domain Transcoding means normally a re-encoding process that changes the video or audio features, such as resolution or bitrate, by changing parts of the a/v content, but not by reconstructing the content again (which is the case in encoding process). Encoding reconstructs the a/v to its componants and DVDRebuilder Pro puts them back together in a smaller DVD compliant format ready for burning! Doing a DVD this way will give you the better quality than any transcoder like CloneDVD or DVDFab Platinum! Hands down.

oh cool
sowwy miss that

since dvd5 are damn cheap
like above huys mentioned
iam keepign the 1:1 but in two disks
and even iam inserting the logos called insert disc 2
its fun
this way u don't have to worry about compression quality and compressed audio

if your burn can burn DL disks then you'd be better off for a true 1:1 copy burning to DVD9s.
